DANCE-A-THON FUNDRAISING EVENT

Our goal is for each student to raise at least $20 for our fundraising event. The money will be used toward school initiatives such as the continued infusion of Smart Technologies to support instructional strategies. We hope every student participates in this fundraiser for Brookdale! There will a be a Glow Shop with bracelets, rings & necklaces for sale the date of the event.
Pledges: Every student will receive a pledge envelope. It is our hope that each student will raise a minimum of $20.00 in pledges. Donations can be made by Cash, Cheque – payable to Brookdale Home & School Association or School Cash online. We ask that the pledgelopes are returned to the school with any pledges by TBD. This will give our volunteers enough time to organize the tickets for each student.
PRIZES: Each student will receive a raffle ticket for participating and for every $10 dollars raised, students will be issued an additional ticket which they will place into a draw to win a prize. The more money the student raises, the more tickets he or she accumulates giving them more chances to win! For example, if a student raises $75, they will receive 8 tickets. Please note, each student will be limited to winning one prize! Prizes include the following gift cards; pizza pizza, itunes, EB games, Chapters, Subway. Also, surprise bags, and baskets. The raffle prizes will be on display at the dance, children will be given their tickets so they can place them in the raffle bin that corresponds to the prize they would like to win. Everyone who raises more than $50 will also automatically be entered into the grand prize draw.
Every student will receive a glow bracelet free of charge.

Students are asked to get sponsors who are friends, relatives or neighbors whom they know well. CHILDREN ARE NOT TO GO DOOR-TO-DOOR to obtain sponsors. Flat rate pledges paid in advance are requested.
We will have additional items available for sale at the dance-A-thon priced at $1, $2 and $3. We will have flashy rings, LED necklaces, glow bracelets, glow glasses and more! The GLOW Store items look great under the special lighting used at the dance-A-thon and make a fantastic souvenir from the event.
